Thao Kieu Photography mission is to cultivate a safe and loving environment while capturing unapologetic tender and intimate moments.

Whether brand work, documenting workflow, individuals, couples or families, Thao Kieu Photography aims to empower her clients' passion and confidence through supporting self-love to help express each individual's story visually.

My name is Thao Kieu, the H is silent (pronounced, Tao Q). I am a first generation, Vietnamese American. I am a total spaz, I am so interdisciplinary with many different set of skills! I confidently feel like the term: freelance photographer suits well. My passion is to meet as many people as I can and to explore and adventure the world as much as I can. Finding a sense of community to connect and build friendships heals my soul.

I am from South Portland, Maine. I am a trauma informed fine artist with a Masters degree in Fine Arts, Applied Studio Art. Themes that I am working through within my personal studio practice regards subjects exploring pain and trauma. I am to advocate against violence by helping empower others to break silence of their voices, sharing the difficult experiences of their bodies. It is my mission to continue fighting to break stigmas that regard the body while highlighting mental illness and struggles with darkness.
